The SECRETS About Website Form Conversions

The-SECRETS-About-Website-Form-Conversions-1040 × 700

[This is a transcription from the Clickx Marketing Hack of the Day video series.]

Hey everybody! For today’s marketing hack of the day, I want to give you a secret, a tactic, a hack that you are going to be able to use to increase your conversion.

Conversion Optimization Is More Than Just Driving More Traffic

Who does not want to increase more conversions on their websites! And why is it important, because conversion optimization to me is more important than just driving more traffic. If you drive a lot of traffic to your website you cannot convert, then you are losing all the money that you are investing into driving traffic in the first place. But if you have a conversion optimized website, any time you drive more traffic whether it is from social or referral or even direct traffic; you are going to get so many more leads of that!

Create A Form & Place It At The Top

So in order to do that, my recommendation is to put a form right above the fold. Oftentimes I go to websites; I have to dig up to find their form. I will have to go three steps deeper. Right! I got to go to Contact Us, About Us and it is hidden! And the sad part is that the more things you ask your user to do, they are less likely that you are going to get them to go there!

I believe for every click you are asking them to do, you are losing them about a third another third of the people will not go to the next step, and you are really going to be left with single digit conversions!

In order to really improve your chance to get through information, you want to put that as high as possible right after you introduced your brand and your value proposition, stick a form over there, ask them to get you their information so that you can reach out to them.

Don’t Be Desperate For Information, Provide Value

One of the things that you want to pay attention to is, to ask the least amount of information on those forms. Most often marketers are so desperate, they want to know the company size, they want to know the industry and I think those are useless information, because you can always go and look up this company and find out the industry and the size of the company. What you would rather want to do is find out, how little information I can ask and how much value can I provide to them! Maybe it is email, maybe it is their name and their email and that is it! Maybe you want to test with the phone number if you are really into that conversion mode and you really want to close them, maybe you want to ask phone number. But otherwise I say limit to as little information as possible and provide the biggest value that you can provide.

To me conversion optimization is really important, because that is going to make your or break your online marketing campaign all together!

Provide The Biggest Value Possible

So, when I see that marketers really do not invest their time and detecting different things, it bothers me because they could actually improve their bottom-line, just by doing simple things that seems really common to the average user. If I am going to a website and I am presented with a really good off work and it maybe a free trial, maybe it is a free demo. I am most likely to give my information, because I might get distracted and I will leave because I have already other things to do. I already have notifications popping everywhere and I will go to everywhere that is calling my name. Right!

You want to make sure that you have given them the best in class offer. You want to capture the least amount of information and follow up nurture them, educate them and then turn them from a marketing qualified lead into a sales qualified lead!

Thank you for watching another edition of marketing hack of the day!
